The objective of the on-line conference is to convey the most recent research results on climate change and its impacts, as well as to provide especially early career researchers from all over the world with the opportunity to present their findings at a global level. This event fills a knowledge gap in respect of thematic discussions on climate change mitigation and adaptation, which will be performed both in an integrative and interactive way. The conference also offers you insights on numerous climate projects, initiatives and strategies, which are currently being implemented on the five continents and considered to be latest examples of worldwide climate change adaptation and mitigation activities.

This major online event provides lecturers & learners with profound scientific information on sustainable development and, in particular, the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and will showcase strategies and practical examples of projects from all over the world. The open access action aims to facilitate networking and knowledge transfer within a digital learning environment. All over the world, lecturers are encouraged to hold a Teach-In-Day lecture on 4 December 2020, becoming a part of a global sustainability movement. They will find a vast amount of tailored presentations including helpful teaching notes.
Participation is made easy: Simply create and/or “adopt” a sustainable development presentation of your choice and include this in your teaching lessons on 4 December 2020! You can share your teaching experience with us on social media and via TID discussion boards, and network with fellow learners around the world on the platform.

This online guidance has been developed for of decision and policy makers in public authorities as well as urban transport actors within the BSR region who are faced with the task to implement sustainable urban mobility solutions in their cities. Those who are already working with sustainable mobility will find helpful proven practicies shared by project partners and further experts, and all learners will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with each other and share own experiences. Finally, the decision-makers of tomorrow, i.e. students in related fields of master-level studies, will find relevant information and knowledge, for example, as input for master theses or further research.
The set of interactive openly accessible modules have been designed to meet the knowledge needs of a heterogenous audience, meaning that users can chose their very own learning path and tap selectively into the knowledge that they want.

We believe that educating students on the SDGs is very important for a
broader and holistic understanding of the challenges we are facing
currently to live more sustainably and better grasp the impact our actions have.
Yet, as a professor, we also see that there is not always the time to
include this topic in your individual teaching. Therefore, we seek to
provide you with a toolbox of material and tasks for you to use in your
lectures to introduce your students to one or several of the sustainable
development goals. We also hope to inspire
you to explore more and be able to act as multiplier for your students.
Starting on 25 April 2019, this course lets you explore and assess the opportunities that sustainable tourism strategies offer for SIDS. This course will help you to think carefully and critically about current tourism policies. It illustrates through practical examples how policy-making can improve in the main SIDS regions. This interdisciplinary
course is a stand-alone course for policy-makers and master students from related disciplines (e.g. policy or development economics). It can be taken parallel to work or study over a period of five weeks (fall 2018). Prior to the active phase, learners
can already register, make themselves familiar with the learning environment and browse through some content.
Work load: Equivalent to an estimated 3-4 hours per course week, depending on how deep you indulge in the material, discussion and interaction with other learners. By passing the final assignment, a certificate of completion will be awarded.
Requirements: To get the most out of this course, it is helpful if you have a B.A./BSc. level degree in a related field of study, e.g. political sciences, development policy or similar. As the course is held in English, you will need fluent English skills.

Since climate change mitigation and adaptation is one of the top global priorities and transport is responsible for greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, alternative means of mobility are increasingly gaining importance. As the key to a sustainable transformation of mobility, e-mobility is known to be climate-friendly, environmentally friendly, resource-saving and efficient. Although the large potential of e-mobility is widely recognized, technological development and energy supply still represent major challenges for e-mobility, which is why further investments in research and infrastructure are needed.
We believe that the training of students is very important for the e-mobility industry around the world, as e-mobility is an economically and technologically important future topic with many learning opportunities and very good career prospects. Therefore, our online course "Digital Learning and E-Mobility" seeks to inform you about e-mobility and to inspire you to explore and follow career opportunities in this area.
